“Bethany Hamilton has become a source of inspiration to millions through her story of faith, determination and hope. At the age of 13, on October 31, 2003, Bethany was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark while surfing off Kauai’s North Shore. The attack left Bethany with a severed left arm. Miraculously, just one month after the attack, Bethany returned to the water to continue pursuing her goal to become a professional surfer. In 2007, Bethany realized her dream and turned pro.”
Not only are the sandals fashionable, they are also functional! The Bethany model features custom Cobian outsoles and arch support. We love the braided strap and Bethany’s personal message on the underside of the sandal! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Friends of Bethany, a non-profit organization.

The Pierce Family is new to the San Diego area, but we feel like we’ve known them for years! Jade may be young, but she is already making her name known in contest world!
Jade’s Mom, Vanessa, shares how Jade got started and what she’s been up to lately!
“Jade began surfing when she was 8 years old in the chilly waters of Central California. She began surfing contests shortly after, with the help and encouragement of her Father and Brother, who are both competitive surfers. The family recently moved to San Diego, and Jade’s surfing has blossomed.”
“Jade started competing last year and I believe her first contest was the Billabong Still Frothy Surf Festival in October of 2012, Jade received 5th place in 11-17 Girls. Her second comp was also the Still Frothy Surf Festival in Pismo Beach, September 28th 2013, Jade received 4th out of 6 in the Grom division (Boys and Girls 10 and under) just missing advancement into the Semi Finals. Jade then began competing in the Volcom VQS Series in the Squid division (Boys and Girls 10 and under). She is currently rated 61st out of 131 competitors. She got 4th out of 6 in her first heat at the Volcom event at Ponto in Carlsbad and also at Pismo.”
