This design has remained virtually unchanged since its inception here in San Diego in the early 1960s. Usually ridden from 5’4” to 6’4” in length with the distinct split tail, these OS Fish are speed machines. Although short in length, the wide outline and thick foils provide longboard style paddling by today’s shortboard standards. A flat bottom and large keel fins generate mind blowing down the line speed. Nothing could touch them in their day and many still can’t. When glassed “old school” with a resin tint, or acid splash, cut lap, pin lined, glossed and polished these boards are beautiful “Throw Backs” of modern short board evolution.
