The John John Florence Techflex Thruster is John’s go-to fin setup and the design he trusted on his way to three World Championship titles. Built for versatility, these fins deliver exceptional stability and control when pushing hard in powerful surf, while maintaining the flex and responsiveness needed for quick, progressive surfing in everyday conditions.
John prefers the Large template in head-high and smaller waves, particularly on performance shortboards with squash tails. The added drive and power help generate speed, maintain momentum, and deliver strong, connected turns even when the waves lack punch.
