A refined outline, timeless bottom contour, and classic 60/40 longboard rails provide smooth trim, stability, and effortless glide, while the responsive rails and powerful tail allow for fast bottom turns and tight, controlled maneuvers. A subtle hard edge through the tail adds drive and responsiveness, while light nose concave through the front third creates lift and acceleration for confident noseriding.

Originally designed for the long, open point breaks of Santa Barbara, the Surftech Checkmate longboard performs best in clean waves from head-high and below but is versatile enough for reefs, beach breaks, and surf a few feet overhead. It's an excellent choice for longboarders looking to combine traditional noseriding and trim with modern performance surfing.
